Infrastructure investment assessment

GIA assesses the commercial case, financial model and development or operating context of an infrastructure opportunity. The work focuses on the assumptions driving value and risk and coordinates the relevant due diligence around the client's investment decision.

GIA records the source and basis of material assumptions and identifies where independent evidence or specialist work is still required. This makes it possible to assess both the proposed case and the uncertainty around it without presenting management estimates as established facts.

An assessment may support proceeding, revising terms, obtaining further information or deciding against an opportunity. GIA presents the commercial and financial implications of the findings; the investment decision remains with the client.

Investment assessment examines the opportunity and its underlying assumptions. In an acquisition process, the same analysis can support valuation, bid preparation and coordinated diligence through GIA's buy-side advisory work, with scope agreed for the transaction.
